We suggest you
start the itinerary from the shade of the Glaneres Park, near the church
of St. Matthew (Sant Mateu) and the Main Square (Plaça Major) in
Riudecanyes. Leaving the park, you take the road leading up to Escornalbou
Castle (TP-3211). Just before you get there, to the right of the junction
with the road that goes to Argentera, you can stop in the Escornalbou
cork oak forest. Continuing up to Escornalbou Castle you can visit the
Escornalbou pine forest on the Friars’ Walk (passeig dels Frares).
